Cambodia------Recent Flood history

Featured Replies

Remembering the experiences with flooding in Thailand, this year, and especially in 2011, what was it like in Cambodia, especially, Siem Reap and the capital? Thanks in advance.

I think that a missing "l" in the title may affect the interest and responses you get from this post...

I recently ate some fried rice there, and you can get those baguette subs, which usually are quite good.

Siem Reap has awesome BBQ frogs in restaurant menus! You should try - tastes kind of like chicken!

The problem in Thailand in 2011 was that major warehouses , manufacturing plants and the like were flooded. Not the case in Cambodia.

So no discernable effect other than transient shortages in places with road access blocked off. All is normal now.

No hassle in Phnom Penh and didn't hear of any drama in Siem Reap.
