A young female who is a university student opened an illegal beauty clinic and claimed to be a specialized doctor in beauty. She used a fake diploma and license to run a professional practice in order to earn money for her studying. She confessed that she had done it 10 times before.

BANGKOK – November 14,2013 [PDN]; At the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), at 4.30 p.m. Mr. Chaikasem Nitisiri (Attorney-General) together with Dr. Pradit Sinthanarong (Minister of Public Health), Dr. Boonreuang Trireuangworawat (Director-General, Department of Health Support Service), Dr. Samphan Khomrit (Secretary of The Medical Council of Thailand) and Mr. Tharit Phengdit (Director-General of DSI) made a statement about an arrest of an illegal clinic owner. “Pulchala Clinic” address 18/97 Terrace village, Soi Ramindhra 65, Ramindhra road, Anusaowaree sub-district, Bangkhen district, Bangkok found Ms. Natchanan Pithakchaikorn or Nan, aged 22, had rented a place and opened an illegal beauty clinic.

Mr. Tharit said that from investigating Ms. Natchanan (the defendant) found that she posted an advertisement on a website and claimed that she was a specialized doctor in beauty. It was found that she wasn’t a real doctor and she also used the fake diploma and license for professional practice in order to accredit herself. Ms. Natchanan is a university student at sophomore a well known private university.

The journalist reported that while the police team and the related officers were making a statement, they could not get Ms. Natchanan to make a statement due to the shock, so the police had to arrange for the officers to take care of her closely. However, from initial investigation, the officers knew that she had family problems and needed to earn money by herself to study, she also learned from many websites how to inject various kinds of chemical solutions because she could make approximately 10,000 THB each time and she had done it 10 times before she was arrested, but this is very dangerous because she couldn’t check peoples medical backgrounds as she wasn’t a medical professional. She was taken to the police station for further questioning.

With all the beauty and laser skin care clinics in Thailand full of "beauty specialists/doctors" (apparently doing very good business) it's a wonder half of the Thai population isn't running around looking like above pictures.

one does not have to be a doctor to do plastic surgery in Thailand. One only has to get a two year certificate in

whatever surgical procedures they want to do. I presume it's supposedly done under the supervision of a doctor,

what kind of doctor? who knows, maybe the anesthesiologist. Chula offers these kinds of courses.

If you can just cover your face and the DSI even give you a hat, what's the point of the pic?

You apparently missed the guy on the left pointing at something.

Well done to take out this scoundrel, hope its some decent prison time.

That goes for all the unqualified Thai massage practices. Especially the one who messed my up so bad that I had to stop her before she did any more damage. Or my brother in law who ended up in hospital after one.

While they are at it, the ought to go around checking the pharmacies, they often seem to leave totally untrained staff in charge. I have been in two that almost messed up. One didn't even know what ranitidine was, the other messed up my wife's order and gave her the wrong thing, then when she returned it, admitted that the proper qualified person wasn't there.

I know a couple of girls who have opened pharmacies, infact they have no qualifications or training of any kind, it only needs a pharmacist to sign the papers to get the permission to open then they get paid the pre agreed amount monthly,

I know of one who is open 24hrs and sleeps behind the counter...customers have to wake her up to get served,

But what most people fail to understand, is that she Needed the money, Otherwise, she is just a nice girl! Just think what this kind of mentality leads to. Everything and anything is accepted to reach your goal. How many other uni students are also using criminal tactics to get that precious diploma.

That's not true. However, a medical doctor can take a two-year course to become trained in plastic surgery.

So pinching a packet of cheese gets the full picture in the press and the pointing, but injecting people with dangerous chemicals and you are allowed to wear a mask . What a weird joint this is.
