Asus monitor, where to buy in Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

I want to buy a particular model Asus monitor. It is a relatively expensive unit that costs about $400 USD back in the states (Model PA248Q). I am having a heck of a time locating a dealer in Chiang Mai that offers any Asus monitors other than low-end ones. I've looked in Computer Plaza on the moat, JIB Computer, Pantip, and some of the big malls (Kad Suan Kaew, Airport, Promenada), but there are many shops scattered here and there and I might have missed the right one.

Thanks for your help.

Dave

PS: I checked the "Sticky" at the top of this forum about computer stores in C/M and came up empty.

You might give Thomas Skyum from Invadeit.co.th an e- mail, they are not in Chiang Mai, but they are pretty good at getting some better quality kit - ( They ship from Hua Hin in a few days) Not sure about that ASUS monitor though, is it touchscreen or 3D? if you are looking for a decent reference monitor for a reasonable price, have you tried Dell? they do some reasonable kit in Chiang Mai or from Invadeit - I use the Dell U2412M and it is quite a nice monitor - they have a few more recent versions available.

Try Chi Chang at Airport plaza. They seem to be the ASUS agents. Note that there are a few Chi Chang shops (for different brands) just have to find the right one.

Good luck.

Thanks to you both. The Asus monitor is comparable to the Dell you mentioned but is rated higher by some reviewers. It also features a standard HDMI in and 4 USB 3.0 ports. It is not touch screen or 3-D. The Dell U2412M is my second choice and is available from Chi Chang at Promenada for about 12K baht. I will go visit the Chi Chang at Airport Central after the holiday craziness.

And I will email Thomas as well,

Thanks again.
