Stcky rice we sell for 30 bt a kilo, offered 12 baht a klio before milled, khao gam,, black sticky rice we get 50 bahtr a kilo at the market, but pay 100 baht a bag to mill to get the black rice looking good, one mill destroyed a bag of black sticky rice but did not charge so tried another place and he did a good job.

Sorry, Clean means that your rice has very little straw, weeds, flowers etc.

Sorry, Clean means that your rice has very little straw, weeds, flowers etc.

They were not checking to see how clean only for moisture.

Insight..This third year now for the RICE SCAM. The first year the farmers had to cash their check, no choice, at the BAAC. What they did not know was when they went to cash it the BAAC said thank you you now only owe us 200,000 baht. They all had bad loans with BAAC. So they lost their money again for that year. The word got out real quick and the other farmers took the fair market price of 15 bt per kg, most got between 12 and 14.50. My wife got did get 15.50 on the scam and 14.00 for the rest. So much for the 17 baht. The second year, last year, all most all the farmers even those not in debt said up yours Bangkok and took the fair market price which sucked 12 to 13.50. The wife did luck out one night as she had 30 bags 110 kg each on her truck when some body came into the village 10 at night with 300,000 baht for rice. She got 47k. The money man was gone in 2 hours.that was the only good news for last year.You still had to cash a check at BAAC. This year number 3 every rice mill for 30 km was closed this past Monday, why, BAAC was broke. The wife had a 6 wheeler loaded and the driver went to 5 mills and was told NO MONEY. That cost the wife 1200 baht. She was seriously impressed. She was calling Bangkok some words I would get banned for on TV. The next morning at 6 am she had a call from her mom, off to the house I went, no shower or coffee. The rice mill was open her rice was sold by 1 pm, what a wait but every body was in a party mood. My truck was #59 and it was on this truck she hit the jack pot max 18 baht. Every body was getting at least 17.30 and this is where the really good news is for the farmer, it takes about 2 weeks the mill will notify you and you go back to the mill and get CASH<CASH CASH no losing your money at the BAAC.
