Citing News Articles

The "NEWS" forum is post, after post, of articles, cited from The Nation and, on rare occasion, other sources. But, all that is ever linked is the "Home" page of the source, not the article. Why is this?

Only The Nation has an agreement with TV to allow it's material to be cited here. There are other sources that may be quoted but that does not include the other English language daily in Bangkok

My guess would be that those articles that are linked from The Nation only go to the home page so that you will have to spend more time there to find the article that you want, thus increasing their page count, which is how they get paid by advertisers
