Paella Pan or Thai Equivalent?

Recommended Posts

Do you mean a paellera, known as a wok in Asia? Most good department stores like Robinson's,Big C etc I would imagine.

Woks have nothing to do with paelleras.

If OP is looking for small size, Emporium has/had similar functionality pans, square instead of round. Never

seen the real thing in BKK.

Good luck (and if you need someone to taste it when you make it, just let me know!)

The paella pan is a large round flat dish approx 36cm in diameter with a slight lip of about 10 cm at the edges. I just wondered if it would be easy to have one made or if the Thais use something similar

This seems to be similar and is on a site that ships them from Thailand and sells them in America, obviously very expensive in USA due to shipping but if I can find the seller here in BKK it'd be ideal.

A pizza pan would be too thin.

If you can't find one at Central, Zen, of Paragon, you should be able to have one fabricated.

My local roti vendor's griddle is fabricated from an iron disk set into a motorcycle rim.
