MrBrad
So what's the non-discounted price beginning January 1, 2014?
chiang mai
That's a good price, you couldn't get all those tests elsewhere at a decent hospital in the North, even if you cherry picked them.
elektrified
I assume that "Screening tumor markers (for ...prostate cancer)" is PSA?

chiang mai
My guess is that these are early morning appointments since you are required to fast for ten hours beforehand.
binjalin
sounds great! I imagine they are doing this because very few people get check-ups this side of Xmas (I don't) for the simple reason that the gluttonous period is approaching. I get my check-ups in late Jan or Feb when I have had some chance to lose some weight and get the toxins out! (and the liver time to recover) but maybe that's just me hope they have a new year deal too
zippydedodah
just spoke with hospital..yes, they prefer you come in the morning, cuz of fasting, and you are required to stay 3 hrs for the blood work...
legend23
The price is normally 2600B, massive saving!!! They do it for ladies also with different tests regarding the prostate. And they have to pay 2600B! Come back another day and get the results, why bother staying 3 hours?

Come back another day and get the results, why bother staying 3 hours? well, every other time in the past when i had a glucose tolerance test, they draw the blood every hour for 3 hours... if that is the case here, then you are not waiting to get the results, but staying to do the test... maybe i am wrong, i will find out when i go... but i agree, waiting 3 hrs just to get results is not appealing.. I don't know where you got the idea that it's a glucose intolerance test, only a fasting blood glucose test is being offered in the exam and that's a single sample. RajavejChiangmai
And for ladies? Our Check-Ups for men normally range from 2,600b to 4,900b and for women from 2,700b to 6,700b. The 12 hour fasting period required before testing does mean that morning appointments are most popular. At present we feel these prices can be held into the New Year. Screening for prostate cancer is indeed Prostate-Specific Antigen. We do have an allergy specialist, Dr. Sopina and she or her colleague run the Ear/Nose/Throat clinic from 9.00am to 4.00pm Mondays to Fridays and 1.00pm to 5.00pm on Sundays. For more information - and appointments - please call our International Relations Department (053 - 801999 ext 177) from 8.00am to 5.00pm Mondays to Fridays, and 9.00am to Noon on Saturdays. In answer to another query we do have an acupuncture clinic.

beau thai
For those wanting the prostate psa test, if you are taking saw palmetto daily ( so not so many pitstops at night). I believe it may give a falsely lower psa reading, so you may want to avoid taking it for 3 or 4 days before the test, just to be sure.
bluweyze
I am a little confused by this post. I looked on the website and they had a promotion on health checks so I phoned up the hospital. They said there is no promotion and they have nobody that can correct the website. I must pay full price. I will now print off this post and see what reaction I receive when I attend my appointment. We do have on-going problems with the English language section of the website and these are being addressed. Our apologies! The offers for male and female Check-Ups do indeed last until December 31st, and a call in English to International Relations on 053 801999 ext 177 will verify this and establish an appointment. The female Check-Up offer is priced at 2,600b and this includes pelvic examination and pap test.

A glucose tol. test won't be included. A simple finger prick would give results for diabetes. Most of these tests are not that useful. Just make you feel your being looked after. trainman34014
They do these promotions from time to time and my wife and I took advantage of the modest discount back in June. This is a very good deal and they are very thorough with a nice typed report at the end. We arrived at 10am and were finished everything by 2pm.
