need help for transportation options on Sunday December 22

I agreed some time ago to cover class for a colleague in Tha Prachan area on this Sunday (8 AM to 4 PM). Getting there probably won't be too much of a hassle if I leave really early. However when class ends at 4 PM and I have to go across town to another function at a hotel on Wireless rd near Ploenchit.

Looking at all the maps showing the expected walking routes and stages to be set up, I will not be able to be far from any of them. Short of calling in sick and sending my regrets to my hosts at the party- what transportation methods or routes could i use to go from Sanum Lunag area to Ploenchit/Wireless area? I know the BTS/MRT route just don't know what could be accessible from Sanum Luang with all the protest areas.

The whole town is about gridlocked since yesterday eve. I bet you also wont reach Tha Chan/Prachan/Sanam Luang ''easily'' on conventional ways by now, 7.37

The ONLY practical solution is the BOAT/Chao Praya service plus BTS, change taksin bridge. be glad that stop is still open. Nota that the same applied on 9/12 and the boats were grossly overcrowded wth access control-one had to wait for several in Q to be able to board. IF so-and with time at hand-take boat other way, till Kiak Kai-walk till road, take any bus toward Sapan Kwai, 97,117, and BTS onward.

Big bets too that that borrowed class wont go on-everybody in old town is on the mob and all schools closed. But 50% chance for the same of that function- major goal of mobs is the nearby Police HQ@Rajprasong.
