Nakhon Phanom airport parking

Featured Replies

I'm flying out of Nakhom Phanom airport in the near furture and I want to leave my motorbike parked there for a few nights. Internet search came up empty, so I was hoping someone here at TV forum might share thier experience using the parking facilities, mainly regarding security and cost.

Also, do they have storage lockers/room as I want to leave helmet and jacket behind.

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately it is not allowed to park overnight at the airport.

I might have a solution for you.

I live at the front end of the airport road (4 km)

If you trust me you could park at my home. I offer you a free ride to the airport.

Even though the above is an extremely generous offer, the information contained therein (from my experience) is inaccurate.

In the past 13 years I have parked my car many times at the airport for up to 7 days without any problems whatsoever. That said, I do have 2 different alarm systems on my car and another immobiliser.

Not too many flights out of the airport so you won't have to worry about the rush hour.

I've only ever been in there as a private pilot and never seen a passenger in the terminal.

Is the flying school still going?

I also have left my truck there for 5 nights. There were many vehicals left there. No problem at all.

sjeng, thanks for the offer but from the other replies it looks like parking is now available.

No problem at all.

At the front gate there is a shield telling you overnight parking is not allowed.

I dont know if they allow parking but the shield is still there.

I check it out for you to be sure, no problem

I just came back from the airport.

The shield is still there, I asked the chief security forces about your problem.

He told me the shield is still there but they have no problem with people parking their car overnight.

So PROBLEM SOLVED This is Thailand anyway.

About your helmet and clothes you can ask someone from AIR ASIA or NOK AIR for storage at their office until your flight back to Nakhon Phanom.

Always nice to help someone out.
