‘King Kong’ takes up residence in Prey Sar [Cambodia]

Featured Replies

Australian alleged drug dealer Jensen Alan Rolf, who goes by the moniker “King Kong”, was sent to Prey Sar Prison yesterday after being charged on Sunday at Phnom Penh Municipal Court.

Colonel Khen Sovann, deputy commander of Phnom Penh Municipal Police, said Rolf, 49, would be temporarily detained at Prey Sar prison as he awaits “further investigation and a trial in the future”.

Sovann said that, if found guilty of drug dealing, Rolf could face from two to five years in jail and a fine of between $1,000 and $2,500. Following his arrest, police said Rolf was a known drug dealer who supplied foreigners in the capital’s riverside bars and guesthouses.

He was arrested at his rented house in Daun Penh district’s Wat Phnom commune on Friday. Police seized marijuana, meth-amphetamine and drug-taking paraphernalia from his house. Rolf and his defence lawyer could not be reached.
