My Mrs would like to offer free WiFi at her business. She wants software that will allow her to issue codes for access, for a certain amount of time. She would like a system that will automatically cancel that code, after that time period has expired if possible.

What would be a good, easy to use setup without spending too much money? Free would be nice. I looked at Antamedia, but it seems a bit too much for a little shop. I also looked at Handy Café, which looks pretty good, and it’s free.

Also, pros and cons of having free WiFi in a small business? I’m a bit concerned about people downloading or viewing inappropriate or illegal stuff. Are there ways to block that without restricting it too much for regular use?

Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Worldspot http://worldspot.net/ is worth a look, runs on a dedicated router so simple and cheap to set up.

Free version is limited but they have several payment schemes.
