Don't mess with the pandas!

I don't know if it's true or not. Perhaps other Scottish people can respond.

But, i was told that all flights into Edinburgh Airport were slightly moved off their normal flight path because of the pandas in the zoo being scared by the noise and perhaps an imminent pregnancy. I did notice, myself, that we didn't fly over the city or over the Firth of Forth in August.

In the end she wasn't pregnant.

I have nothing to add to that except to say I twice navigated the Firth of Forth as Second Mate on a tramp freighter. I was quite young and there were all sorts of odd and interesting people on board. Great fun from my youth. I think we had some Edam on board if I recall correctly. Firth of Forth, Firth of Forth, Firth of Forth, Firth of Forth, uh sorry, couldn't help myself.
