I remember having one of these. Playing Jetpac, Manic Miner and other great games of the time. Maybe some of you guys do too.

Great days.

I had many hours fun with Spectrums. Typing in hours of code only to find there had been a typo somewhere and the progs would crash.

Bought a tape recorder and used to copy games from original tapes. LOL I was a pirate even in those days.

Had a tape drive, supposed to be so fast but forever crashing.

First 'proper' computer was an old P70. Used Windows DOS. Upgraded to a P75 that I built myself, followed by a P90.

Brings back a lot of memories :)

Lots of memory?

Seem to remember it was 1Kbyte - with 250 bytes shared with the screen?

Loved it. Remember fine tuning the azimuth on the tape player to load the games, or the microdrive (tiny miniature 8 track type cassette). Way ahead of its time.

Kickstarter , im In !

Thanks OP !

I loved it too.. after the spectrum a comodore 16 then 64.. then amiga 500

If you have an Android phone then check out "Marvin" and prepare to waste HOURS!

Lol I still have one in my closet. Still works also. Just one key has some problems

Still remember LOAD "" [enter]

And then press play on the recorder
