Or you can fly AA to macau (direct) same price, turbojet ferry HK and return from HK by AA to CNX after your 2 centre break. Whatever floats your boat.

I've just done the AA flight from CNX to Macau and return 2 weeks later.

The Immigration into China took a while, but they were processing about 100 people per hour, and 48 lines PLUS a line for us over 65s!

Things would have been much easier if simple directions were given to find one's way from the airport to Macau Immigration and thence to Chinese immigration. The airport shuttle bus is not very obvious, and leaves from underground on the way back.

Most information on the web is outdated, as a new high sped rail link station has been open for 12 months and the web sites have not caught up.

Travelling in on weekend evenings is horrendous, as many thousands of Chinese are rushing out of the casinos and heading back home.

Maybe going via HK from Macau is a possible option as suggested.

Good heads up -thanks. But not sure I understand.

When you say 'immigration into China' do you mean in to Macau (China SAR) or were you going on to China?? 48 lines into Macau seems horrendous.

Presumably you didnt need a visa? And it wasnt clear how to get to Macau Immigration from the plane? Seems bizarre.
