A good welded in rollcage will do wonders for drivability. You can tune your chock absorbers instead of the chassi doing the absorbing.

And the sr20 det engine is very reliable and can produce serious power if you change the turbo to a bigger one

Mine is a welded cage that bolts in, with the plates it goes in with it is stiff, very noticeable in handling, the sr20 is very good and a bigger turbo will produce around 400hp

BIgger turbo means you need bigger injectors and a new ECU and tuning... Big money, and that's without new pistons and rods which will probably need doing to make it reliable because of the high boost required for 400bhp.

Factor in that SR's are not too reliable when modified in anycase with the hot weather here - it just gets too hot for them when they are on full chat. This is why the big boys go for the Toyota JZ engine.

I've seen 2J's fitted in E30's before... Heavy i know, but if you are wanting that sort of power, it would be my choice.
