Overstay

Featured Replies

Hi,

could any of the admins please update the overstay information on the front page of thaivisa.com. I'm talking about the famous http://www.thaivisa.com/303.0.html

This page still states that the fine is 200B per day, but actually now it's 500B per day afaik. In addition, according to a sign at Immigration in Don Muang, when you reach the maximum fine of 20,000B, you will be blacklisted (no re-entry) for one year. With the new fees, this situation is reached within 40 days. Your pages still don't mention that.

I'm sure most of you know this already, but since http://www.thaivisa.com/303.0.html is mentioned quite a lot here, this page needs an update IMO.

Cheers

salapao

Thanks for heads up. I will fix it as soon I am back in the offit on Monday.

The last part of http://www.thaivisa.com/300.0.html is out of date and confusing. Registering on a tabien baan comes after getting the Alien book from the police. You have to go to the police within 7 days of applying for the Certificate of Residence, not 7 days from receiving it. In Bangkok you receive it a day after you apply, leaving you only 6 days. At my local police station in Bangkok, the deal is you pay 400 baht for the current year and you can then pay 800 baht for the next 5 years. So you get 6 years in one go for 1200 baht.

The prices for re-entry are out of date on this page and http://www.thaivisa.com/341.0.html. The cost of the endorsement of residence certificate is 1,900 baht for one year. The cost of the Non-quota Immigrant visa (i.e. the re-entry visa) is 1,900 baht for a single entry and 3,800 baht for multiple entry.

They give you a printed sheet with most of this info on it when you go to get the certificate of residence.
