Locked out of wifi network, advice please.

Hi, I would appreciate some advice from one of you computer experts please.

I have an Acer Desktop which has suddenly locked me out of my Wi-Fi Network.

It was working fine and noting has changed apart from the computers auto updates.

The Wi-Fi modem is working fine, iPad & Phone ok, I can hotspot the desk top through the Wi-Fi via the iPhone.

I have unplugged all equipment to reboot, no success.

I have gone to a previous system restore where I know it was working, no success.

I have turned off the fire wall, no success.

That is the extent of my knowledge of computer repairs, any suggestions or advice will be gratefully received.

If you right click on your network you should see properties, maybe going in and re-entering the password will help.

Unsure, but a cleanup (delete all) of the WiFi profiles might help.

I found some hint, that a change of the router or duplicate names might be related to the problem.

Of course you need to be sure about your Wifi password/key, as you will have to reenter it after the process done.

If the router is close enough to the PC, I'd make a wired connection (most routers do have a ethernet port). That'd give you internet at least, if not actually solving the problem.
