TallGuyJohninBKK
I guess this means members of the public going to Thai Immigration offices at Chaeng Wattana (if it reopens at some point) or elsewhere is now illegal -- unless "allowed by officials"???? The Nation posting above doesn't say it, but presumably, this order only applies to those areas in and around BKK covered by the "State of Emergency." Popular Post NongKhaiKid
Bans are one thing but what about enforcing them ? So far no one appears to have taken a blind bit of notice of the emergency decree so officialdom can ban all they want but without enforcement it's just the usual huff and puff.

Its a list read via skype of places that make Thaksin uptight he can keep his crumbling oligarchy somewhat intact, especially with farmers turning their backs, and hiring fools like Chalerm to keep things in order.

Scamper
These " lists " are beginning to pile up. Where do they go ? They're as high as the Eiffel Tower at this point. If you asked any official who just recited them from the paper in front of them and challenged them to recite the same list for memory, would they really remember ? Just how can any of that be implemented when Chalerm has assured the foreign media that the police will not be intervening ? One gets the distinct impression that these daily lists are a way to convince themselves that they are actually doing something. Needless to say, they're not convincing to anyone else.

Dogmatix
RT@Lerlaforever: Suthep: If Chalerm is an effective person, he would have caught the guy who killed Sergeant Yim long time ago.RT@Lerlaforever: EXPLANATION: Sergeant Yim's killing was said to be linked with one of Chalerm's son. Hopefully with new powers bestowed by the emergency decree Chalerm will now make some progress in tracking down the murderer of the crime busting sergeant, as long as he can keep off the ear medicine.
