Hi there and Sawasdee khrap,

Just wanted to modify, then delete my trial version of Kaspersky Anti Virus 2013 today. Tries control panel, doesn't work and stops after going two steps.

Tried a program I'd downloaded and it says I don't have Kasp installed. How can I get rid of this stuff? Any advice is deeply appreciated,

I'm running Windows 7, Ultimate service pack one on my machine. Thanks a lot in advance.-wai2.gif

Go to search, type in Kaspersky, see all the files, delete all manually.

Sure I had to do that one time, if not, go to Kaspersky website or forum, they'll put you right.

Good luck.

Can't be the solution to delete file by file. Also tried to set up the pure kaspersky a trial, but it stops doing the set up, showing: avpinst.dll error

Any idea?-wai2.gif

Kaspersky should have a removal tool you can download and install to complete the removal process if the Windows Program and Features Uninstall fails to do so.

A google search for 'avpinst.dll error 2013 uninstall' or 'Kaspersky 2013 uninstall' shows a couple of good responses:

Kaspersky support Download - Kaspersky Uninstall Tool

It might be necessary to run the support tool in safe-mode to successfully complete the uninstall.

Also, it would be a good idea to have another AV product already downloaded and ready to be installed and to complete the uninstall and new software install while disconnected from the Internet.

Finally, I could get rid off it, thanks to all. Had to download two different tools from Kaspersky's website, then installed pure.

Unfortunately, when it scans, I can't open any applications. Have to "exit" and will look into it. Can't believe that pure found and still does so many Trojans and other serious stuff.

I couldn't delete anything in safe mode. Seems that the ghosts from wife's village had taken over.

Guess I have another lesson learnt.I know that I know nothing. Albert Einstein. -wai.gif .

Bet you have a copy W7 ol' chum. Remember the trouble we had with my PC ?. Even after they installed another ''copy'' the PC was attacked all the time, reason, the copy was full of nasties that could not be sorted and/or it was very corrupt.

Now have a genuine W7 and noooooooooooo probs, works great with MSE and Malwarebytes Pro protection. smile.png

Nope, I've got a "genuine" copy, with all Windows updates available. It can happen that the superficial computer shops have an installation CD full of serious little ghosts, as they can't read, or don't want to know what the warning(s) mean.

I'll never forget, when we'd tried to save your old one, what a pain in the arse. Unfortunately, we both have learned something out of it, right?

Now I'm not having anymore troubles, as I had saved all my data on an external drive, using Acronis back up and restore. Can put it on your machine, once you've got problems, you just back it up from your external drive.

Life's great and I'm waiting for the weekend. Glad that Valentine's this year coincides with a Buddhist holiday-wai2.gif

P.S. Not just some programs on your old computer were corrupt. I know some of our coppers, who are as well. .

Will answer this question only with my lawyer next to me. My program is as genuine as many sexy girls, who're actually men dressed as girls, but with a penis.

But some of them do look good and my computer works well.

Just had to pay a lot of money to get my car fixed, didn't buy genuine parts, as they're five times more expensive. Only when it comes to parts of the brakes, or timing chain.

I'm working at a bigger school, not even one computer has a genuine program. Go with the flow, or home. Need my salary for my family, not to make rich people more rich.

Guess I;m a sort of a Robin Hood of the 21st century, as I give "my" programs away for free.-rolleyes.gif

Great: Here is an example of the"protection" software taking the shape of an infection itself.

Think JJ is asking if you REALLY have a genuine W7. If you do not know then there lies your problem.......sad.png

It's just insane. Yes. Not just Kaspersky, many others such as AVG and other Antivirus programs seems to be hard to delete in some cases.

Then you'll have to have to tool made by the company to get it off your machine.

I'm pretty sure that those companies do "create" many viruses, Trojan horses and other bs, just to be able to sell their crap.

Why the heck would anybody else create viruses and other malware if it's not in their interest? -wai2.gif

...[snip]

It used to be simple to uninstall or delete antivirus programs, but then someone decided to write a virus or trojan that all too easily erased, disabled or modified the antivirus program and then had FULL access to your machine, other connected machines, and any data on them. Not a good thing.

So they made it difficult to erase, disable or modify. So sorry for the inconvenience.

Mate, the Windows 7 was never a problem. It was just the Antivirus, made by Kaspersky. Problem's solved, both computers, my laptop and desktop are running smoothly with Kaspersky on both, good for 91 days. And extendable.

I just came back from a local computer shop in Sisaket, as the printer doesn't print a full page. After I'd figured out that they guy wasn't able to download a driver for a Brother printer, I did it by myself. When he'd printed some XP test pages, I had to remind him that that wasn't the problem.

This freak had no idea how to print a full page and after an hour, I just disconnected my printer, said thank you and took off.

Watched this guy skipping "yes", when he should have done it, as he couldn't read English.Talk next week, if you've got a cold beer, I'll give you Acronis, backed both machines up and it's only a matter of a few minutes to get my system(s) restored.-wai2.gif

I'm not sure as to what benefit you imagine that lying will bring to you.

Perhaps you have forgotten that you posted this and this

So perhaps you can just stop with the lying.
