Greetings all,

I'm recently married and in the process of setting up a company with my wife and other shareholders. My question is what type of visa do I need so that I am able to legally work for the company. We've been advised that I should first acquire a Non-Imm O before applying for a Work Permit, but the process and requirements are sketchy at best which leads me to think I may not be on the right path.

Could you please advise what type of Visa I should apply for, and where I can find requirements and process?

Many thanks!

I guess you have a wife with Thai naitonaility.

You can apply for a non-O visa based on your marriage with marriage certificate, copy of her household book, copy of her ID-card and note from here asking for a non-O visa for you and maybe copy of marriage register entry.

If you can show 400,000 baht in a bankaccount in Thailand for 2 months, you can than get yeary extensions of stay and also apply for a work permit, if your job qualifies you for one.

Thanks, Mario.

Yes, my wife is a Thai national.

Could you clarify if I'm required to show B400k in an account for two months before I can apply for a work permit? Or better yet, could you point out the clearest document for work permit requirements and process?

Thanks
