Army assures public of its tight security in keeping armaments safe

BANGKOK, 4 February 2014 (NNT) – The Royal Thai Army has assured that its armaments are being guarded at all times under tight security, while expressing concerns over some weapons that were taken 4 years ago.

Following a shootout between groups of protesters at the Lak Si Intersection, Royal Thai Army Spokesperson Col Winthai Suwari said the guns used during the incident were commonly used among soldiers and police, while assuring that the army’s weapons are being kept safely and away from ill-intended people, adding that all military officers were not carrying any weapons while on duty to maintain peace and order.

The spokesperson however expressed his worries that not all weapons taken and stolen from the army in 2010 had been retrieved, raising fears that those weapons could fall into the wrong hands. used against the people.

He went on to say that authorities were still gathering more evidence from the scene before drawing a conclusion.

hmmm Its the "Army" are they not supposed to do this. Its their job!

If you cant balance your tank's at the end of the day, there's not much hope in combat.

It does not matter what the Army is trying to clarify here. Their statements can easily be distorted and read like it accused the RS/UDD of stealing the weapons.

The RS didn't steal the weapons....the dumb army jerks lost them.....!

all those seized tools of war accounted for from the past few years?

The army is watching the weapons, who is watching the army ?

Ohhh a veiled disclaimer to Lak Si ....... it wasnt us honest guvnor it was someone who nicked our weapons... no we wont comment on the military style movements and spotters but it wasnt us.... honest..... rolleyes.gif

Try looking for that picture of a gunman with a rifle hidden inside a bag and see if you can find it now - anywhere.
