I have just heard that a light aircraft has crashed into the sea off laemka beach down in Rawai, anyone else heard anything about it?

Apparently a microlight aircraft piloted by a semi resident German national. Came down of Laem Ka, near to what used to be the Evason Resort. Unfortunately died according to reports.

That's tragic. Seems to be an activity with a high potential for a fatal accident.
