GPS Navigator for Isuzu MU-7

Featured Replies

Any members suggest a suitable GPS unit to be fitted to my MU-7 and also what about the Isuzu factory installed unit,I would require dual language in English & Thai, thanks for all your kind guidance and advice.

The OEM GPS/Nav head units installed in the late model MU-7s are the best in its class, IMHO - of course. They have Garmin maps and most, if not all, of the navigational options.

Garmin is like - and I hate using the term - the 'Toyota' of Thailand. It's the 'vehicle of choice' and the way to go in the field navigational assists.

The new MU-X and Isuzu trucks have a newer faceplate that has larger buttons along its sides as opposed to somewhat smaller buttons along the bottom in the MU-7 models. Also, the MU-X has the larger 10.5" secondary DVD screen as opposed to the 7 screen in the MU-7.

If your MU-7 isn't equipped with a factory installed GPS unit and if you don't want to buy an OEM model, I would highly recommend using a handheld Garmin unit. I used them for a few years until I bought my MU-7. Same maps and features.

Just as info and a follow-up from my original post, I ended up purchasing a Garmin nuvi 2467/2567LM from the MALL @ THB 8,000. Have test run it a few times and also run my iPhone via bluetooth thru the unit which provides me with hands free mobile service whilst driving, this Garmin model also gives me lifetime updates on maps so I am happy now !!!
