Anybody know if there is a bar showing this event? And/or is it possible to get Pay Per View here in BKK via UBC?

On Saturday night/tonight in California/Sunday morning our time, it's UFC 60 with Royce Gracie and Matt Hughes.

Actually I'm not too thrilled by the headlining fight, Matt is far superior in all aspects of MMA except BJJ submissions but his BJJ submission defence is excellent (except for the BJ Penn choke recently) and will crush Gracie in the first 2 minutes of round one. I'm more interested in watching Alessio vs Diego Sanchez and the Swick/Riggs fights.

OFFICIAL UFC 60 WEIGHTS

Matt Hughes (175.5) vs Royce Gracie (175)

Dean Lister (205) vs Alessio Sakara (204)

John Alessio (169) vs Diego Sanchez (169)

Assuerio Silva (234) vs Brandon Vera (226)

Joe Riggs (184.5) vs Mike Swick (185)

Chael Sonnen (185.5) vs Jeremy Horn (186)

Matt Wiman (155.5) vs Spencer Fisher (154.5)

Fabiano Scherner (263) vs Gabriel Gonzaga (244.5)

Rick Davis (155) vs Melvin Guillard (156)

If anybody knows where this event will be showing please advise.

Yeh i have been downloading them from torrentspy but now cyberclean has blocked it from within Thailand.

Matt Hughes demolished Gracie.

The fight I'm really looking forward to is the Georges St. Pierre vs Matt Hughes. It'll be on Aug 26th, UFC 62. It'll be really cool to see if Georges can take Matt this time.

By the way, I've downloaded all 13 of Georges fights off limewire. I tend to find limewire easier than any torrent engine for downloading these fights.

The Hughes/Gracie thing was really a debacle. It was just the UFC management trying to increase the hype and expose the UFC to a bigger audience. Can't blame them for that I guess, it probably did bring an increase of audience to the event. But really it was anti climactic, I don't think Royce could handle any welterweight in the top 10 or maybe even 20 these days. His days of beating guys that didn't understand submission defence and in addition using an external device (Gi) are long gone.

Even more embarrasing was UFC's claim that he was 11 - 0 in the Octagon. He and Ken Shamrock fought to a draw in their 2nd fight and technically he lost to Harold Howard in UFC 3 when he couldn't continue to fight after a brutal battle with Kimo.

My claim at the top that Royce wouldn't last 2 minutes with Matt was wrong, I was really thinking he wouldn't last 2 minutes on the ground. Matt fooled around with stand up for 2 minutes before taking Royce down and then submitting him in 2 minutes.

I didn't see the fight live since I couldn't find anywhere to see it but did download it off limewire 2 days later.

UFC 61 is coming July 7th ( I think that's the date, thereabouts anyway) but UFC 62 in Aug will be great.
