French tourist threatens Phuket shop assistant with scissors

Featured Replies

and there will be no jail for this guy... he got frustrated with the crap he was sold, asked for refund, didn't get it, took it (losing his patience / coolness), nobody got hurt, this is not a holdup.... he will be fined, and probably pay some extra to police, c'est tout....

Wrong. He hasnt the means to buy his way out of this.

Thai jail is still an improvement on France though.

He is a bum with no money, he will do gaol

if the thai had to jail every tourist with no money who did something stupid/illegal, they'd have to annex laos to build more prisons...

Hope he gets TB in prison. Don't need this north African/french crime networks in phuket.

Too late..take a stroll along southern end of Nanai..like being in Marseilles ...bah.gif

No body got hurt physically that is true, emotionally maybe. The staff said they did not have the authority to give him a refund and he would have to see the manager. The guy has threatened staff with a weapon and demanded cash. That is a laid down armed robbery. Just because no one was hurt physically it doesn't lessen the crime. I would have no hesitation what so ever in charging him with the offence of armed robbery and assault with a weapon.

then you should..........

I would never threaten a lady with any object, but sadly due to robberies many more 24 hour stores have male staff as well.

The Thai ladies who work in 7/11 are on modest salaries and not tempted by easy money in the bars etc and do not need crazy people like this scaring them. For anyone no matter a lady being threatened by presumably a much larger guy is disgusting.

If he has a French passport he is French. No if's, buts, or maybe about it, he is French.

Pretty soon, they are going to have to build another gaol on Phuket.

The current gaol is already over populated and everday more people are being incarcerated here.

AGREED - In the strongest terms, but as for this idiot with the scissors send him to the big house. Lets see how tough he is then
