New Lotus C-01 Ready For Orders

I just saw the photos of the Lotus C-01 motorcycle it is ready to be ordered but only 100 to be built. Motor is a KTM V-twin putting out 200 horsepower, carbon fiber tank. Sorry no photo I am challenged in that department.

Doesn't look bad but suspension look all wrong. If the rest is par, Lotus will have accomplished its goal, a great static display bike.

DO NOT sit up straight going over 200 mph. You're going to be blown off the back! It's aerodynamically GREAT with no rider.

You will find that on any wheel the water will tend to leave the tire irrespective of the thread pattern, due to the centrifugal force being much bigger that whatever resistance a pattern can oppose.

The pattern has more relevance to traction, ply stress and other considerations.

I missing the comment that Lotus is owned by Malaysian Proton and that Proton had a relation with JRD (if only for the manufacturing of some alloy-magnesium/aluminum wheels. OF course I not want downgrade a manufacturer... but seriously...what different?

Looks awesome and they're pretty much guaranteed to sell all 100 regardless of price tag.

Somebody asked me recently why my bike doesn't have an electric windshield that only comes out on demand / at speed. This bike might implement that idea given the presumably exorbitant price. And yeah why don't bikes have that?

15 years ago BMW allready had electric windshields, it must be easy to let it come up at higher speeds i guess.

This bike looks like a driving box, i prefer naked engines.

Just read an article on Yahoo the bike is a Lotus in name only as it was built by Kodewa and Holtzer group a German race team. Kodewa did the construction while Holtzer did the development.
