Hi,

Im wondering in anyone is absence from uk for more than 6 month and return to uk using residence card? (I got rc through singh route)

I'm not concerned about getting pr but since I still have rc valid until 2017, can I still use it to enter uk?

Or family visit visa is a better way?

From your OP it seems that you do not have permanent residence(PR), are no longer a UK resident and have not been for more than 6 months; correct?

Until you have PR, apart from a couple of exceptions, if you spend more than 6 months out of the UK your residence will lapse and you will need the appropriate entry clearance to enter the UK.

If you have PR then it will lapse if you spend a continuous period of 2 or more years outside the UK.
