Fibre-glass swimming pool supplier in Phuket

Recommended Posts

I was about to purchase a small pool (maybe 2 for each of my small hotels) from Navinda Pools, who have offered a good choice of such pools for an all-in price, including excavation, pump/filter etc.

Unfortunately, that company has been bought recently by a French guy who has deleted the prices from the company web-site. When I enquired about the prices, I was given a starting price for the smallest pool that was almost 200,000 baht above the previous price, and that excluded extras such as excavation, travel etc etc etc.....

Not sure what the justification is for increasing the price - the only change seems to be a French owner, as opposed to the previous Thai owner.

So I won't be buying from Navinda.

Can anyone recommend a supplier of small (eg 6x3 or 7x4m) swimming pools in this region?

Otherwise, I might be better off building my own concrete pool.

Thanks

Simon

The company has been run by a French couple for several years

The call their pools fibre not fibreglass,i asked if they were build to Australian standards

Most pools are fibreglass in Australia and was told the ones made here were not built to Aussie standards

10 year warranty on pools and installation in Australia, some companys give longer warrantees

Their is a company about 200 metres past Wat chalong same side of road heading south that

has a fibre/fibreglass pool on display, good prices on pool chemicals could be worth checking their prices

It might be better to build a small concrete pool instead.

Since 2004, my family and I have built 4 small hotels ==> all the concrete foundations, rebar, walls, plumbing, electrics etc. Also, the first hotel had a concrete pool (not built by us) which I managed for many years (plumbing, filters, pump etc).

None of them has fallen down yet smile.png

I understand that building a large pool would require some expertise, but a small pool 7x3x1.6 should be within our building capabilities.

It's an option that I'll scope out and check also in the swimming pool forum.

I'll take a trip down to that shop that you mentioned - thanks

If you want to see what their published prices were before they removed them from their site, you can see them using the wayback machine here

Yes! I remember their published prices very clearly - that is why I was surprised at such an increase :)

I'm going to scope out a DIY concrete pool - way to go I think

I agree with the concrete pool option.

I build a concrete pool ( 9X3.5X1.6) at my house about 8 years ago and no problems at all.

Only be aware that building a pool out of concrete is specialist work as it needs special (more heavy and amount) rebar, chemical treated concrete and possible pile driving required due to the weight.
