Israel slaughters 5 more journalists
No, he has never admitted it, he avoids it or tries to misrepresent it by saying he’s American, same as Patong. -

Report Australia to recognise Palestinian state in September
Whilst I agree with your comments - they should not go watch those videos - they are horrific. I just wish that they would take it as given what they did and understand that the Hamas terrorists who invaded Israel are inhuman murdering rapist terrorists and they and anyone who supports them in Gaza who should be put to death. But people in the west are ignorant and foolish, and they just do not understand what is the truth - they believe the 'under dogs' are Hamas and that Palestinians in Gaza are not enablers. There is more than enough evidence like those videos, but the fools just look away - some even think their actions were justified - truly delusional. -

Hospital checking visa
You make this up. I never said anything like that. (I was brought unconscious, that's why I didn't have my pp with me - not that it matters) -

While Trump fails, Carney outsmarts him once again
Stop putting words in my mouth. I never claimed that other countries were not at all protectionist, or don't impose any restriction. My claim is that, at least compared to other oecd countries (so that excludes China, Thailand etc...), the U.S is as protectionist as the others, if not more. As concerns Thailand, in particular, it's very protectionist but weights peanuts anyway. -

Retired expat out there who has been issued with a TIN number?
FYI, I post information to help people understand what is and has been going on for over 10 years internationally. The TIN is not a bank policy. It is a requirement from the CRS regulations. If you read through all the legislation and CRS requirements you will see that. All the foreign banks and financial institutions I have dealt with over the last 10 years have the TIN as a requirement. And they insist on it. They often ask for a lot more personal information that I have refused, but in my experience they do not back down on the TIN. They argue that they have to get it under the CRS requirements and threaten to freeze the account if i persist in not complying. I have had many battles with what banks / financial institutions require, so i have read and checked what is required. The CRS is implemented to stop the avoidance of tax, and the key principle is that people need to have a tax residence. There are some allowances for not having a TIN and some instances have been posted on the forum. Thailand has only just started to implement CRS regulations and there are posts indicating that thai banks are now requesting the TIN. IMHO, its only a matter of time before the TRD insists that the banks get it and declare information to them. So anybody who thinks it does not matter may get a rude awakening . From my experience, the institutions do not start to threaten freezing the account until after a few reminders and at least one year.
