How to dial an operator here for reverse charge call ?

Featured Replies

Have not had to do this for a long long time...in fact never done it from Los.

Need to call a government department in Oz that will no doubt have me on hold for endless hours as usual...they have graciously offered to accept the charges if I call via the operator....

What do you call here to do this ?

I believe this is the Telstra number for Australia specifically: 1300 362 162

oh each company has their own number...forgot about that....need AIS one.

Also do not believe can call 1300 from here.....tried once before and no go.

There is no reverse change call facility in Thailand. Bad for business.

Well...hopefully just done....not sure if I got charged for it yet, but hopefully not.

Here is the website for Oz if anyone needs it... http://www.customercare.com.au/aucc/pdf/aust_direct_rev_charge.pdf

Call direct it is called.....was on hold for quite some time, so would hate to be paying for it, best the other party does, not me.

Reckon you would be lucky to get someone to understand or have good enough english if you go via a thai provider.

I called AIS and spoke with their english speaking staff..

Can you tell me the number to dial for reverse charge calls to Australia....'what'...repeat....'what'....for free call, I do not pay for the call, the number I am calling pays for it....'oh you mean like collect call when other party pay right'....yes.....'no have'

So just for clarity and the sake of googlers coming afterwards was the number listed in your PDF:

001 999 61 1000

the correct on to use for Australia?

And did you try the others I posted as well?
