WonnabeBiker
My contract ended last month. On Friday the 28th of February, I was doing an English Camp hundreds of miles away and told the HoD and the finance Director that I needed to sign for the salary in advance and then asked to transfer it into my wife's account. Signed copies provided - and I signed about 5 times paperwork regarding the salary. To my horror, they never called or e-mailed about not having paid my salary! Now they want me to "come and get it". That's a 2 x 10 hour journey and I will have to stay at a hotel for one night. An EMS letter costs 37 Baht - if they want to mail a check. They could issue a check in my wife's name. They could write a check to themselves for cash, then deposit cash. (After all, they accepted the request to pay the salary into my wife's account 10 days ago). Paying staff would be an employer's #1 duty, JMHO. What is going on?!? People who work usually need to get paid. When we called, they were busy. It's clear that they have no intention of resolving this issue! I can't be the first and only one with this issue. Any wisdom or advice on how to avoid making the trip at my own expense? tingtong
hmm, if they want you to get it....it is not that they refuse to pay you....JMHO. were they paying you cash in the past? so, either you can convince them about bank deposit, or you have to travel...there is little else you can do, really. at this point, it is up to you!
