bug and fix for Nokia mobile phone

Featured Replies

cheap Nokia 105
instead of the name(s) or contact,
i only see numbers in the numbers dialed list
this must be / has to be a bug
how can i fix or work around this
otherwise i need to hit the call button to find out who it is that i called

something to do memory available?

Nokia phones, traditionally, display only the number if there is multiple entries of the same number with different contacts.

+66812345678 Larry

+66812345678 Larry (1)

0812345678 Larry (2)

etc.

Does this happen for all of the contacts, or just for some?

In any case, check that you don't have duplicate entries with the same numbers (sometimes different sync methods can do this). You could also have the same numbers both on phone memory as well as SIM card.

good point thanks but no this is not the issue because most if not all of the numbers are single entry contracts all on the sim card none in the phone

on top of that the problem is intermittent

and not with all numbers all of the time

lately is is doing it to new numbers added

weird and not right

I have the Nokia 107 so a similar phone. The only dialed numbers listed without a name for me are one off calls, otherwise they have a name assigned if they are in my phone book (saved to SIM mostly).

Looking at my settings the only two I can suggest that might make a difference are Contacts-Settings-Contacts view = Name and No. and, Display Settings-Cell Info Display = ON

Only other thing I can think of is if the names are too long to be saved to your SIM and need to be saved to your phone.
