My 3 gigabyte mobile package always used up after 5 days

Only on one day surfing 800 mb was gone

Now I look for a tool where I can limit the 6 Mbit speed to only 768 kbit this

Should be enough for you tube and overall usage is longer

You should be checking what's sucking it up.

What version of Android? Later versions have it built into the settings menu, otherwise you can download an app.

The simple solution is to block apps that you don't need all the time, and enable them only on wifi.

Limiting the speed is not really going to do a lot if a web page is 5mb it's gonna be the same on a fast or slow speed it's just gonna take longer to download same as videos a 500 mb streaming video is still 500mb regardless of the speed the only thing to do is to check the quality settings and play in lower res

Use Opera Mini as well, it compresses the pages before it sends them to you.

But seriously, unless you're pasting it all the time, you need to find out which apps are doing all the downloading and respond appropriately.

As Chicog says, if you believe your device is using up too much of your data, find out which apps are doing all the downloading.

Check if Google Play Store is set to allows automatic updates. Set all apps (or non-critical apps) to manual update and then open Google Play Store updates when on WiFi.

Do you have weather apps?

Social Media apps are constantly calling home to check for status updates. Disable or delete the apps you don't use.

If you don't need 24/7 Internet, turn off DATA when you're not actively using it.

You have a problem for sure.

I use my phone for internet quite a lot and I rarely exceed the 1GB monthly limit.

Of course you can't use it for streaming HD videos or similar...
