Sticking

Hi Guys, I have bought some reflecters for the rear of my car .As usual they stick on. How best do you clean off the wax and such so they stay stuck.

any idesa welcome please pete

Be careful what you use . In the past I have used one of those kitchen or bathroom cleaner sprays. NOT an oven cleaner.

I had thought of trying alcohol or sellulos thinners as a clenser but dont want to melt the paint which is why i posted on here.......

Do NOT use thinners.

Rubbing Alcohol from the pharmacy won't damage the paint but I would get some silicon and wax remover though.

most paint store will sell Nax.

Turps. It is great at getting the gum of something that had a sticker on it. Great at cleaning tiles after you spill motor oil on them...rag off most of the oil then rag over with turps on the last rag.

Turps won't harm your paint but it will dissolve polish and wax.

This.... More specifically alcohol and though thinners won't harm cured paint they still leave an oily residue behind.

Try WD40 next time for sticker gum it works great and won't harm a thing..
