I have an old macbook pro and moving into a condo where I will have to plug in a LAN cable (I think) to get the internet.

The thais at the techie shop dont speak english and thus asking here..... are the LAN cables that they are selling compatible for both apple mac and windows.

Do I have to go to an apple mac store to buy one that is specifically for apple mac only?

I have a windows computer and a mac and used the same LAN cable on both no problems :-)

Another alternative is to purchase a WiFi Router and plug that into the Ethernet cable.

Same, same, and not different.
