Can I Run Windows 7 On 1.75 GB of RAM ?

Hello and Sawasdee khrap,

We've got an older, but good PC in our school's office. There's always a crappy version of XP installed and I wanted to upgrade it Windows 7, the 32 bit version.

It's an Acer Inspire, with a Dual Core processor 2 GB of memory are installed, 1.75 GB are usable. Would Windows 7 work well, without upgrading the RAM memory?

Absolutely. For the simple tasks even 1Gb will be workable

Yup, I had it running and quite usable on a netbook with an Atom CPU and 1G.

Yep, works well, as some memory's already being used by the system. Works well with the 32 bit version.

Why install W7. Go for W8 which is more memory efficient.
