Nong Khai ... I.S.O. Low Cost Long Stay Hotel...

Featured Replies

For the month of April, I am in search of a long stay hotel - monthly rate. I am not looking for dirt cheap - but around 3500 - 4000 - 4500 Baht ... maybe somewhat more. I currently live in a nice hotel in a modest size town 'down river' from Nong Khai and pay about that rate. Hopefully, I will find the same amenities, nice sized room, A/C (air condition), western style toilet, 3-4-5th. floor up with a lift would be fine, cleanliness, Free WiFi, somewhat close to bus station - Tesco, 7-11, area for walking, open air markets, etc. One that allows a microwave to be brought in would be great. I'm going to making a border run mid April on a multi non imm O Visa. Come May 1st. I will be going far south to Ao Nang to visit a buddy, so one month is all I can sign for..

Other types of accommodations will be consider (such as Home Stay, Guest House, etc. depending how they are set up and price.

Any suggestions / recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

(I chose the Isaan forum - not finding one specific to Udon Thani - Nong Khai. If this thread needs to be moved somewhere ... then Okay with me).

Try ST Apartments once you are in Nong Khai. They are okay and a lot of expats live there. 4500-is about right 3 storey building wifi, tv, ac, smallish but popular. Pikal Apartments in the centre of town get a good reputation but not sure of the price. prajak bungalows of Prajak road also seem to get peoples attention but again do not have any first hand experience of them. There is also the CK Mansion on the little soi that leads to Tesco that do monthly rentals as well.

Come stay at one of the popular farang guest houses (mut mee) for a night or two and you will get lots of info from the regulars where to go.....in a nice way.

Jing-Joe Pizza in Nong Kai has a small guest house that does long rentals, look them up
