so how many thousands against 20mln voters, millions, who were prevented from voting and millions intimidated by armed and violent mob?

Err,not to show yourself up as a complete thicko. Can I suggest you do a little research.

March seems to be stalling at Si Ayutia/Pria Thai junction. Suthep and about 1000 protesters are nearing Royal plaza, then a big gap to the main march which is very big 9over 10,000) people. There is some kind of holdup at the Junction.

So, in a country with a population of approx 66.7million, if he is lucky to get 1 million (.015%), he thinks he speaks for the "majority" of the Thai people?

Gotta love Thai logic and "new math". coffee1.gif

Don't be stupid, you will NEVER get a whole country out to a march.

Nut don't deny a million turning up as nothing, and also your maths are totally wrong.

With your rational thinking (laughing).. Then with all this MASSIVE red shirt support for the government, where are their HUGE rallies like this?

5000 last week in Pattaya, 3000 in Ayuttaya, and they were all paid.

Hardly representitive of the huge support for the Thaksin regime that people like you constantly brag about.

Your last sentence cracks me up, as you automatically assume that I am a Thaksin supporter, or which I am NOT.

You also exhibit the inability to denote sarcasm in the words of others, thereby revealing your lack of deduction powers.

You should ask your mother if it is okay for you to post something before you do it.

Have a nice day wai2.gif

If you are " NOT" why post in that way regarding the numbers ??? You post this answer to save face because of your lack of thought.

To point out the absurdity of Suthep's claims to "represent the people". Or are you able to comprehend and understand that?

CAPO closely monitoring mass protests

BANGKOK, 29 March 2014 (NNT) – The Center for the Administration of Peace and Order (CAPO) is keeping a close watch on today’s mass demonstrations in Bangkok by the People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC).

PDRC protesters are taking to streets in mass rallies in an attempt to topple Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and her cabinet ahead of the Senatorial election which is scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, March 30th.

A number of roads and street venues in central Bangkok are occupied by PDRC demonstrators. Commuters are advised to take detours and avoid all protest sites.

Meanwhile, the Center for the Administration of Peace and Order (CAPO) is closely assessing the situation as both police and military men have been deployed in various locations to ensure safety for all sides.

CAPO says everyone has the right to express themselves freely as long as their actions are in accordance with the law and constitution. CAPO is urging the protesters to respect the rights of others as well.

so how many against 20mln voters and millions, who were prevented from voting?

You mean the 20 million of which around 50% voted NO, and the rest were a couple of million for assorted parties and 8 million buffalos for the PTP.

The ones obstructed were not PTP strongholds and I think the 2% in some provinces that turned out in the re-runs says it all really.

The real majority are speaking.

Not the 8 million MINORITY!!!!!!!!!

The other 40 MILLION VOTERS!

Well over a million on the streets, and the rest voted with their feet.

Of the 40 million in un-obstucted areas, 20 million did not even bother to vote. 10 million who did voted NO and the other 8 million who didn't get the chance to vote would be pretty much all NO votes, and not a single vote would have been PTPO anyway.

So stick that in your pipe and smoke it pal.

Good one YourNemisis. Unfortunately there are still people in this world who adhere to the belief that if you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it which is taken from the original quote below.

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State." He said, they said, we want, they want.

The only way in which to truly gauge the voice of the people is to hold a referendum on reforms before an elections with a straight forward two boxes YES or NO

And then another question "peoples council" to lead reforms with the same two boxes YES or NO.. The PDRC can then run a YES/YES campaign and allow the referendum to run impeded, if they get the majority, then exit stage left for Yingluck, and the PTP and they can run off and rethink a strategy that will allow them to challenge for when the elections are announced post reformation.

There should be a 12 month cap on these reforms, and if nothing has been agreed across all parties, then the Military take control for another 6 month period, Reforms are much needed, but the time frame has to be short and swift, to allow any thoughts about the peoples council never relinquishing their power, which is no doubt what some people fear. Most Thais just want to get on with their daily lives, they should be able to do so.

First of all government denial to all wrongs, then pressure to dissolve, then Yingluck wanted a snap election to get back in BEFORE the courts could get her there, then elections failed, then it is referendum --------Reform before anything is the only way forward.

Elections/referendums are a no no at this time, as they would fail.

One big priority is to get everyone to court that needs to go, get them sorted. Only after the dust settles some of your suggestions are good-workable.

Are you close by and can see all of this?

Some people keep stating that Numbers are not important, oh really, why is then you use the very same numbers to state there's now a majority who want reforms before elections ??

The true numbers are from all across Thailand in either a non impeded referendum, or unimpeded election, then the numbers will be more significant, until then, it's spin, spin an more spin.. If you have a Majority, prove this by letting the elections run.. if not.. well the wheel will keep on turning and nobody will go anywhere fast and the people who's opinions do matter, as in the Thais, will still not get their say.

Go on with this nonsense.

The rich influence people always can leave Thailand, the ordinary people from North to East to South can't. They will suffer as always.

Yep,totally agree, time for you to pack your bags.PS do yourself a favour and don't fly Malaysian.

Your logic is worse than your math, how do you compare one line of marchers with turnout at 10,000s of polling stations all over the country?

Even considering Suthep's math errors, the turnout is impressive.

If in a country of 66.7 Million people, spread over an area of 514.000 sq kilometer, you can encourage 1 million people to travel to a certain place for a protest, you can say they represent a majority

Blockage has cleared now, it was another march joining from Si Ayuthia and they had a discussion on who was to go first. The march is moving very quickly now to catch up.

Wow

With numbers like that the PDRC must be so excited by the chance of a new election, they are bound to win.

Well said....but you should understand, the PDRC are not a political party....plus they do not want elections until reform....

In last election only 1/3 of eligible voters choose one of the 53 political parties. 2/3, the majority did not vote, were vote-no ballots or invalid.

If you want to quote stupid and irrelevant figures then you should refer to the majority of voters that DIDN'T vote for Yingluck

Please give us a link to where the counters say that the PTP got the highest votes than they ever did in the Feb 2 election

I though the final figures where never released

Well he certainly has pis#ed on somebody's cornflakes.

That I understand fully. Good government do not get the people Pi##ing on their cornflakes --because they would create happiness. Get that ???

Follow the money---follow the courts.

Rubbish.... as from 12.14 there were stll 2 sections yet to start marching.

Anyone else in the Lumpini area that can tell us who is lying here???

Anyway, let's wait till next Saturday to see what the PRO GOVERNMENT can reply with.

Oh I forgot, the UDD would first 'monitor' this rally and then make their decision.

Meaning, they will call it off because the support for the government can no way beat the support for the anti-government movement.

Not even 10% of it.

I guess we'll have to see how many the redshirts can muster in the big rally they've got planned before we can gauge the true levels of support.

Always assuming they don't cancel it after this PDRD showing.

Was that the same election that showed a majority of people who did vote, voted for the PTP?

Was that the same election that was disrupted by the Anti-Democrat forces.

Was that the same election that has now been made void because it was not held on the same day throughout Thailand when every other election in the last 20 years has not been held on the same day throughout Thailand?
