...and why Thailand IS Down market!

Even if the Thais were so gracious to not charge the guy -

they should at least take his photo and post it worldwide and to the ambassador

And then some posters wonder why some Thais look down on the foreigners......

Or - just an example of the "Criminal strain" showing through...

Perhaps they didn't teach you this in uninteresting Psycho school?

Most, not all, Austrailans have a chip on their shoulder. They have an inferiority complex to Americans and Europeans due to their heritage as prisoners sent from Europe. They are jealous of them, and love to attend their schools just to gain credibility.

However many have come to accept their status and have evolved into good old blokes.

They now come to Asia hat in hand looking for opportunities to make money. Unfortunately, there are sooooo many scammers and exploiters from Australia, who don't care about Asians and look down on them as little yellow people.

To their face they act nice, behind their back, Australians are among the most racist people in the world.

Sounds like a pretty racist comment to me.

In this case you are dealing with a thug who should be deported.

However, Australia is one of the most multicultural countries in the world and a good number are of Asian background, including my family. So lighten up with your bigoted remarks.

Is it not interesting how people of the world are finding their identities in race, ethnicity, sexual behaviors, political parties, religions, etc., and in so doing "group" themselves in a stampede to claim the bottom of the ladder? What makes it interesting is that, if you were going to govern the planet, this is exactly what you would socially engineer, a controlled 'strength in number' affiliation illusion to tap into the primal instinct to belong. Then you pit the groups against each other for the honour at the bottom of the ladder and make sure to alternate ownership of the lowest rung by legislating weaker groups advantages they don't have to earn, in order to quell ambition, achievement, work ethic, and addict them to group entitlement expectations. This kills personal initiative and isolates the "groups" further at the bottom rung they have been conditioned to see as "nirvana" whilst incognizant of the "individuals" ascending the ladder in temporal alliances and ad hoc commitments of convenience across all lines they define for others.

Should have been thrown in a cell and made to donate 1,000,000 to the hospital in recompense for the appalling behavior.

Wonder where the "Mates" are/were?

These "brave" Aussie drunkards are usually to be found in packs !

Donate for what?? He should have been sent back, banned and fined, but the ALLOWING the Hospital Staff to kick a Patient........@*!............????? That's why I think it was turned into a wash. STILL 2 WRONGS DON'T MAKE IT RIGHT...........The staff should have been held accountable.

Yep! Right answer - put on the next full price ticket at his expense.

Deported stamp on passport.

But the Thais would rather brush him under the hotel carpet,

so that other Wally ts wont be put off.

“He was escorted by police to his hotel in Patong,” Lt Chatree said. “No charges were brought against him as no complaints were filed against him and there was no damage to any property.”

Should have been escorted back to the airport and put on the next flight back to the land of kangaroos...

Thailnd the land of smurfs

He'll get what's coming to him..., perhaps on THIS holiday. It continues to amaze me how many western types come here with a perceived sense of superiority and flex like everyone should bow to their liking.

From Wikipedia :

  • Lazarus sign, a reflex movement in brain-dead patients, which causes them to briefly raise their arms and drop them crossed on their chests

Pray, is there any resemblance to the case involved ???

I can see by your post you are not racist at all.

Out of a population of 23 million you know most?

Where are you facts to back up this verbal diarrhea? Who is the bigot here?

No offense, but Australian isn't a race.... unless we are talking about the Aboriginals I suppose, but even then most 'Australians' would not qualify.

So, who let this idiot on the plane in the first place?

Absolutely, where I come from you don't get on if you're hammered and they cut you off if you plan to do it on board.

It is however still on him. Hope his room is on the ground floor!

So, who let this idiot on the plane in the first place?

And why did the cabin crew allow him to drink so much alcohol of the flight?

Probably pissed before the flight as they are so stingy with on-board booze these day's, so it's the departure airport check-in staff who should have refused to board him.

sorry but this topic is linked to alcohol not Australia.

The guy could have been Russian, Thai, a Brit teen, a Finnish, etc.

Yep.. but in the end he was an Ozzie!
