Protest leaders nationwide to thrash out 'big battle' April 5

BANGKOK, March 31 - Protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban has set April 5 for a major assembly of leaders of the anti-government People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) nationwide.

In a harsh speech on stage at the Lumpini Park rally site last night, the former deputy prime minister said the upcoming meeting will be crucial in mapping out a new offensive strategy and set a date for what he is calling the "big battle."

PDRC leaders will discuss and decide on their next move after the Thai people came out in full force on Saturday to reiterate their disapproval of the Yingluck Shinawatra government.

Calling the Yingluck government as a"bandit" regime, Mr Suthep said PDRC protesters will intensify their movement against the government which lost its legitimacy months ago.

He called on police and military personnel to suppress the "bandits" from Thai territory, adding that civil servants will be asked to stop working for the caretaker government.

Thai people from all walks of life should stand up to get rid of the government, he said. (MCOT online news)

It is a flop when the walk around did not achieve the desired results. There was no Million as Dear Leader boast. The day ended like any other day which is Nothing. Life resumed after the Sunday walk around. The caretaker government is still there and Yinglck has not resigned. There was no instigated violence and military stayed away I will call that a misery flop.
