Gun attack targets woman who blew whistle against Yingluck

Most likely politically motivated.

She only has herself to blame though, being given an award for her actions and placed in the limelight.

Probably not the most upstanding citizen - but I am like everyone else here posting on this - non of us really know.

So, on the one hand you agree it's most likely redshirt violence, yet you try to be fair-minded and say nobody knows. Ok, nobody knows for sure but you and I and many others DO think it likely. Lets leave it at that' Likely.

So, while you're being fair-minded, where on earth did you jump to the conclusion that she is "Probably not the most upstanding citizen "??????

There IS plenty of evidence that redshirst are likely to be violent. There is ZERO evidence that she is not an upstanding citizen.

As a YL supporter, you do not make credible arguments in her favour......but that could be said for all YL supporters I suppose.

Who is to know what she is up to, with or without whistle.

May have nothing to do with whistles or government demonstrations

Please give us all a break will you...?!

There was an attack against a young woman in a vehicle, involving an iron pipe and a gun. You appear to be of the opinion that there is something that can be said that makes that alright...!!

Why is it that you apologists will go out of your way to condone such actions, as opposed to condemning any such actions, regardless of which side carries them out....?!

Such an attack is totally unwarranted, and I sincerely hope they are able to catch the vicious bastards involved and lock them up for an appreciable period of time.

Well, play with fire and you will get burned.

This may have nothing to do with her demonstrating, she could be up to anything.

Technically she was playing with air, so the reds brought the hurricane.

Bickering, inflammatory, name calling and off topic posts removed also the quoted replies to them, cool it please guys.

Probably not most up standing of citizens to go blowing a whistle in the PM's face - not something that a normal person would do - unless she is mentally unbalanced?

But one wouldn't know, would one.

Why not its a non violent statement made at the head of a corrupt government. Non violent protests are all over the world. I can remember when they threw pies at government officials in my country (small group did that and that is worse as a whistle). Non violent protests are the norm and should be ok. Responding to those with violence that shows a groups true colors.

Well, play with fire and you will get burned.

yeah, yeah,

ever heard about likelihood?

another one who likes to whitewash the thugs

I'd say it was very likely.

You have ten chickens. There is a dog in the neighborhood that kills chickens. You wake up one morning and all your chickens have been killed. What's the likeihood?

Yeah, lets go and kill the dog, without any proof.

A bit like Witch Hunting

Do you even think what you're saying before you hit the add reply with your patellar reflex post? I said nothing about killing the dog. I was simply giving an example of likeihood.

Absolutely normal democratic procedure to voice your dissatisfaction with the government policies. In the western world, people even throw eggs at politicians. But that is not the issue here. The issue is that the current caretaker government is using 'dark forces' to intimidate all political opponents. Not only opposition politicians but also ordinary people. No one escapes their intimidation and that is very reminiscent of some regimes established in 1930's. Or Cambodia in 1970's. Rule by fear and terror. Sit and wait for someone to beat you up, throw grenade at you and your family or simply assassinate you in a broad daylight. I would actually question the sanity of people who are trying to justify those actions and methods.

Stupid of her to allow herself to be placed in the limelight and be raised to gain some form of celebrity.

So in your first sentence you obviously refer to the whistleblowing as "playing with fire". Then in the 2nd sentence you say it could have been anything. So what does the "fire" refer to then? Just a dumb attempt to justify red violence.

So if you blow a whistle in the face of the PM than you are mentally unbalanced?

Than how do you call the people that think this is a reason to attack this person?

I will give you the answer,

Mentally unbalanced red scum and bydefending these kind of attacks it looks like you areunballanced.

Have a nice day.

That is something i can agree too, its not the smartest idea to go against this government of thugs and crooks and their supporters. However without people who stand up to these kind of people they will always win. But it is certainly not something you should do without thinking about the risks here in Thailand.

Any statement of condemnation from the the Shin Regime? I am all ears .....

"Shin Regime" you read it here first

PDRC sheep are on notice.

Don't bring a whistle to a gun fight.

I stand by my first post - play with fire and expect to get burnt.

I am not red, yellow, blue, pink, green or any other shirt.

She is stupid, but in this case the victim. So sorry for the victim, but you really should know better.

They (you know who-and I mean from all sides) are corrupt and dangerous.

Well, play with fire and you will get burned.

This may have nothing to do with her demonstrating, she could be up to anything.

That is one of the lamest excuses I have ever heard. definatly red shirt quality

Yingluck has some pleasant friends.

Well I wouldn't exactly call them pleasant more like violent and dumb.

I do have to give credit to Yingluck for offering to shake her hand.

The red shirts are in my opinion at about the same level of mentality as the khmer Rouge.

The air force ought to fly over their training camps and level them.

She was awarded a gold whistle for her bravery.... yep..... Very brave considering YL is probably of the same status as Pol Pot, but with a much lower IQ.

A little strong but defiantly understating her intelligence.

What's the point of going to the police? They never properly investigate anything, can't be bothered without a few cases of whisky and an envelope stuffed with cash.

Thaksin "The Count of Montenegro, The Desert Coward, The Dear Leader, Defender of democracy and law" Shinawatra of Arabia and his merry band of thieves and thugs are certainly fine upstanding members of society. They only know violence, intimidation, arson and theft as their principles of installing their style of Demonocracy.

Well I have read the three reports above and it sounds like three different attacks------- OH No sorry it's Thai reportingcoffee1.gif

So are you saying the PDRC supporters should arm themselves?

Not red not yellow not stupid either.

This is a very very stupid comparison and an insult towards the victims of the Pol Pot regime.

Those who condone violence clearly belong to the red side.

Perfect match

It's hard to believe that Ms Yingluck would have anything to do with such behaviour - she's got such a nice smile!

Amazing Thailand................One newspaper says........Parked car was vandalised and a shot was fired, no injuries were reported, the other paper says......Car was vandalised, several bullet holes in the car and the owner was injured , cut by glass at her waist..

Who writes this crap !

attempting to make excuses to appologise for these red scum puts you in the same boat as them. We all know they have no hesitation to kill children ans innocent by standers, we also know that they will threaten and shoot at/throw grenades at anyone that does anything they dont like. Expressing ones opinion should not be a death sentence but you seem to think it should, are you really that biased as to think people deserve to be killed/attacked simply because they blew a whistle at the pm..........
