Prompong files sedition complaint against Suthep with DSI
The Nation

BANGKOK: -- Pheu Thai Party spokesman Prompong Nopparit on Tuesday filed a complaint with Department of Special Investigation, accusing protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban of sedition.

Prompong alleged that Suthep and other PDRC leaders had violated Article 113 of the Criminal Code by declaring that they would seize power to rule.

The Pheu Thai spokesman said Suthep had declared that he would seize the mandate to rule should the prime minister be ousted by a Constitutional Court ruling and that he would nominate and countersign the appointment of the next prime minister.

He said Suthep's statement constituted an act of sedition.

"The 2007 Constitution requires that a prime minister be selected by the House of Representatives. So, Suthep and his associates have committed edition," Prompong said.

DSI chief Tarit Pengdith received the complaint n person.

Tarit said the DSI, the Office of the Attorney General and the Royal Thai Police have been closely monitoring actions of Suthep and other PDRC leaders.

Tarit said the DSI would assign a team of investigators to check Suthep's speeches and actions before taking legal action against him.

Tarit noted that before Suthep announced he would seize power, he had consulted PDRC leaders, thus legal action would also be taken against these leaders for complicity.

"DSI chief Tarit Pengdith received the complaint n person."

Now why am I not surprised?

"Tarit said the DSI would assign a team of investigators to check Suthep's speeches and actions before taking legal action against him."

"Tarit noted that before Suthep announced he would seize power, he had consulted PDRC leaders, thus legal action would also be taken against these leaders for complicity."

DSI will investigate to find them all guilty as charged.

Nothing from Yingluck because they are "protecting" her by not involving her. Won't work though. Ultimately she's the one responsible for these idiots and the DSI. If you ever want to see "bias" in action though or "politically motivated" actions, here it is in black and white.

Ok, Can Prompong fill a complait too against Reds leaders for secession, terrorism, children killing, sedition, rebellion and death threating against judge ?

Yes, the irony of this is just palpable...!!

'Tarit said the DSI would assign a team of investigators to check Suthep's speeches and actions before taking legal action against him.'

You say you are checking....... Now you are saying he is already guilty and all the other leaders too???

'Tarit noted that before Suthep announced he would seize power, he had consulted PDRC leaders, thus legal action would also be taken against these leaders for complicity.'

Strange how none of this activity is coming directly from Yingluck.

It is coming from Jatuporn. Nattawut and Prompang.... the very three people who are soon to be 100% guaranteed slammed up in prison.

To get warrants for arrest, the courts need evidence and if the court does not find any evidence then we can all assume that it has been a load of boll-x all along and that is another defamation charge to add to your list Prompang old boy.

Ms. Yingluck and her caretaking cabinet need to be a wee bit more careful in their condemnations and accusations because of their functions. Pheu Thai spokespersons and Pheu Thai MPs have no some restrictions it would seem. Also DSI head Tarit is of course only doing his duty in investigating without bias alleged crimes

you would think that finding the scum that murdered those children and others would be no1 priority...gee im gullible sometimes..

You would ...but it seems it's much more important to Tart to add yet another charge to Suthep's already long list. You'd think he would have learnt a lesson from when Thaksin had a similarly long charge sheet. It soon became apparent that to hit him with the whole lot would take years and years to get a result and so the courts went for one stone cold certainty. They won and Thaksin had to run.

If the DSI ever hopes to nail Suthep they'll have to do something similar but they need something that only Suthep is guilty of. Sedition, corruption, murder..... all these can also be leveled at Tarit's boss so he's wasting his time there.

Haha the person who's supposed to be in jail now filing a complaint with the DSI! How amusing. clap2.gif

I always get PTP spokesman Prompong Nopparit confused with Thaksin mouthpiece, Noppadon Pattama. I think it's Noppadon that is supposed to report for jail.

No, Prompong received a 12-month, non-suspended custodial sentence for libel, but being Thailand, he still roams free and still holds political office...!!
