There isn't enough info here to give you an answer. Go to the top of the page where it says search and type in "chickens"....click on all and select this forum in the drop down. You will get around 3 pages of previous topics. Read anything with the

word chicken in the topic. You might want to do the same with ducks depending on exactly what your goal is.

It sounds like you are talking about layers as broilers give very few eggs. If this is the case the sex-liked crosses are hard to beat for profit. There is a ton of how to vids on u-tube and a forum called "Backyard chickens" (not on TV) that can give you details on raising.
