lostmebike
Obviously it must be another (Lets Bash the Thais Day)? Get over It! Do you really think that Thais Don't read all the crap that you say about them ## What Goes Around Comes Around ## Are you really saying that Thais are reading our comments? Seems to the rest of us it is only bitter, know-it-all, old men that really give a monkey's ... about some of the infantile posts. I would suggest Thais are just going about their daily business with no interest in TVF at all.
kovaltech
its probably equally as true then that they viewed her as a paid for woman, as, why else would she be with an american that didnt speak thai another way of saying, without enough baht, they knew they had no shot. hey like that for a song copywrite: if you dont have any baht, you dont't have any shot if you dont have any baht you dont hane any shot if you had the right baht then you would surely have a shot but you dont have any baht so the answer will be, NOT baht baht baht - baht barbara ann baht baht baht - bah barbara ann Barbara ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN Take my handdddddddddddddddddddddddddd Barbara ANNNNNNNNNN if you dont have any baht, then you dont have any shot Baht baht baht, baht barara ann and I havent even smoked do you mean copywrite or copyright ? makes an huge difference... Pavlovian reaction from a monkey to a banana... versus Give an Farang on TVF the word "Thai"... Then start reading TVF or watching the monkey's...

kovaltech
People who are slandering about "another" are mostly feeling more insecure or just finding themselves inferior.. Give them the feeling that they are better and they will start slandering because they find themselves superior... Either way, give a monkey a banana or make him think you'll have banana's, Pavlov rules...
EyesWideOpen
you havent a clue what thai people say the musicians I knew in thailand were just as fast to horsecrack with me, as i withthem usually the joke was on me, but it was always good natured, especially when they talked about thai women and having a "contract" with them I never heard that term until I met them they also were not that keen on thai women in general, as they believed them too aggressive and always wanting to be on top, of course, I thought that was WHY we liked them, so, I didnt get their drift Why is your angle of argument always about dating thai women? I get your point. Your thai gf and possibly other thai ladies you were with in the past were not of the "hooker" variety that is they chose to be with your cos of your personality, wealth, looks blah blah blah etc etc etc. Of course thailand has a very large reputation on women of the night and women that depend on foreign men for survial of their families and themselves and all of that jazz but yes not all of them are like that every guy seems to think he is special and his thai gf is different. Nothing wrong with that either. I don't believe you never heard of that contract before. In very simple terms it is "no money no honey". It happens everywhere and in fact i believe it's also the cornerstone of the majority of legal western style marriages. Kayne west made a song about it calling about some chick not messing with "some broke n!ggers". You should have made a comeback when they made that jab at you tell them you're also on a contract with your ladies cos it's unlikely a lady would sacrifice her own well being first. The correct term used currently by Thai bar girls about the farang buffaloes that send them money is "sponsor". Have never heard the word contract before, must be something used by Thai men.

TechnikaIII
I've been here 80 years. Fluent in Thai for 60 of those years. I've never once heard Thais slander farangs. Perhaps you're hanging around with whores and those educated to the age of 7 months? Ha ha ha ... Do you think they will do it within earshot of you?? I have been the object of slander in my village, neither by a whore nor someone with the education of 7 months. But by someone who did so to camouflage their mistakes. But it is not only a Thai phenomenon. I have been the brunt of it in Norway too, because I was witness to some very bad actions by city council officials. They would sacrifice their own mothers, rather than come out, admit the error, and apologize. Rather, they went to huge lengths to discredit me. But it all came out in the press, and chief slanderer ended up with egg on his face, and his contract was not renewed. So much is made of Thais doing anything to save face, it is boring.. Back to my village. On my own slander experience here, I was visited by members of an influential and respected family, who came to tell me: " We like you .. (my name), and we hope you will stay in .. (name of village)" This gesture also refutes the notion that Thais will always defend a Thai in a conflict involving a foreigner. Of course there are the TV regulars who make mob rule the order of the day, and stick it in the Thais. beer can in one hand, computer mouse in the other, yeah .. Go for it! 80 years in Thailand! wow! So you lived through Japanese occupation? Did the Japanese have "90 day reporting" ?? Edited April 26, 2014 by TechnikaIII

Popular Post bbbbooboo
Every day I stay in Thailand, I feel dumber and dumber. I think it is not entirely my own fault. Our reputation has been gutted, and we have all been reduced to the lowest level by people that come here and toss their well earned cash in the charity basket at Club Soi Farang. I'm the same....everyday I stay in Thailand I feel dumber and dumber. Eventually, I suppose, I will reach an appropriate level of stupidity that will enable me to understand what is going on

Perhaps you're hanging around with whores and those educated to the age of 7 months? LOL...I have been here 2 years and speaking thai for 6 months and I hear it all of the time. BTW, I have NEVER been to Pattaya, Soi Cowboy, or Nana plaza. Most of my friends are Thai and they hear it too. I do know this, if something happens and there is a farang to blame close by, that is usually the first assumption. I will give you an example from Songkran that I experienced. My best friend here is a Thai restaurant and bar owner. These clubs are not frequented by farang. We had a foam party at his club for Songkran and someone brought a glass into the foam pit (supposed to only bring plastic cups in). As you probably predicted, the guy dropped and broke the glass. A girl cut her foot and the first response was to look at me some 20 feet away and say...""it was proabaly the farang"...followed by a rant. Not knowing I was there with the owner as a VIP guest and also helping keep things in check for my buddy, they went to him and told him I dropped a glass in the pit. He laughed at them and told them who I was and forced them to apologize to me. This is typical....saving face strikes again...lol. I don't know where you are living but can you send me the details? Sounds like Shangri La...lol. In all fairness though, most of teh farang in Thailand aren't what I would call upstanding and I prefer not to hang out with MOST of them. There are a few good ones, but I get pissed when I hear how they objectify the Thai women and frequent these "bars" and then complain about it. There are many farang here for good reasons too. I, myself, am buddhist. I came to Thailand because it is 94.6% buddhist, my established connections here from some of my best friends back in the states who are Thai, and the Treaty of Amity. The reality is that we have to judge each other on a case to case basis, BUT, the Thais do have this saving face thing and they like to use the farang to save it whenever the opportunity arises. HerbalEd
Not epidemic for me. With over thirty years of experience in Thailand I've never personally experienced it. Perhaps it's gone on behind my back ... but if so, I'm not aware of it. However, I'm sure slander goes on ... as it does in my home country and pretty much everywhere else in the world. Last week, a Thai lady friend referred to the "salary" she receives from her Japanese bf. I played dumb and said that I'm glad she doesn't know my gf as I didn't know that a Thai gf could received a "salary" just for being a gf. She backpedaled furiously and said that he was just "helping her". Later she clarified that he was "paying her not to 'work'" [i.e., go to other countries to do massage], which is a 'salary' of sorts I guess....
seajae
mate, I have found that being able to haggle prices is enough for me, I dont want to know what they are saying about me. That way I can always smile at them and think the best of them, once you know what they are actually saying this ends and you can become a bit on the hateful/defensive side. My wife wants me to speak thai as do all her friends but this way I am able to help improve their english without taking offence at anything that is said about me, definitely works for me!!!!!!!!!!! stephen tracy
Agreed, the Thais slander the so-called "Kii Nok" [white trash] Farangs, and rightfully so, that hang around red light areas such as Nana and the like. Degenerates. The thing is the people that hang around those places [i.e. sex-pats/torurists] assume all Western males do the same and think that Kii Nok is a term applied to all Farangs. Basically, the white trash doesn't realize it's white trash. I regularly slag off Farangs like that simply because you see so many of them here. My ex-landlord [an American guy] was shocked to find out I had never slept with a hooker. At first he thought I was having him on. He's actually married as well. Total loser. They're all the same and such an embarrassment and there's loads of them here on Thai Visa regularly pontificating about a country and people they know nothing about. I've been here 80 years. Fluent in Thai for 60 of those years. I've never once heard Thais slander farangs. Perhaps you're hanging around with whores and those educated to the age of 7 months?
