connection time out + wifi sharing problem

Featured Replies

my new condo have very strict internet rules

i paid for wifi but i cant use it on my phone + laptop at the same time due to their security software

(if you connect one it cuts off the other one and vice versa )

ive tried to connect with the phone wifi and then share it to the laptop via wifi hotspot but cant

then i tried connecting with the laptop and making an ad -hoc network so i can use the phone as well

but they have blocked that as well somehow

it seems they dont want people to downloadd anything either like a torrent movie or tv show so every 30 min idle you get disconnected

and have to enter your user name and passcode again which is very annoying .......

i am not very technical but im sure some people here are ,

is there a way around these issues to avoid the 30 min disconnection and have the phone and the laptop working at the same time ?

Is it possible to get your own line?

They make things strict like that because if not there would be a few people hogging up the data stream and nobody else would be able to use it.....
