rebelplatoon
Well it surely took a long time to state the obvious. Anyway, over to the SA I mean brown shirts, sorry again: red militia. Yeah I like that post of putting Chuwit in as caretaker that d be fun. I don t always agree with him but its a no BS kinda guy. Surely not afraid. Never happen though. The only just choice right now would be a business cabinet from both sides of the divide. Change some of the electoral laws that were put in place by PTP to benefit PTP, and have a new election. Popular Post Roadman
It all doesnt really matter - another election PTP will win back to square one. Incorrect it does matter...another group of Thaksin criminals were removed from office legally. The remaining PTP members including the next Thaksin clone leading them will have the same fate if they do not follow the rule of law and constitution. The courts this time around are showing they have the balls to rule. A good day forward for the rule of law in Thailand. The Deerhunter
That was her best? What a frightening thought, how bad could it have been if she wasn't doing her best. A great day for Thailand and the Thai people. IMO, this is a terrible thing for Thailand. She was one of the few who actually tried to do something for the people. rabas
Is anyone really surprised by this pre-determined decision? I doubt it. Now it's just a matter of who will be next in to lead the govt until the election The outcome was predetermined at the time the illegal action took place. How could there be any different outcome if the court rules according to the law? The unanimous 9 to 0 decision sounds pretty legal, as did the surprise hard evidence of who was involved. They got caught.

webfact
Constitutional Court: PM removed from officeBANGKOK, 7 May 2014 (NNT) – The Constitutional Court has unanimously ruled to remove Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra from her office after she was found guilty of illegally transferring the National Security Council (NSC) chief Thawin Pliensri. The court delivered a verdict to remove Ms. Yingluck and nine other ministers who approved the transfer of Mr. Thawin of having abused their power. As a result, all ten of them were removed from their posts. The nine ministers include Surapong Tovichakchaikul, Chalerm Yubumrung, Kittiratt Na-Ranong, Santi Prompan, Anudith Nakornthap, Siriwat Kachornprasart, Pracha Promnok, Yutthasak Sasriprapa and Plodprasop Suraswadi. The ruling echoed that of Supreme Administrative Court, which said the transfer had been unlawful and unfair because Ms. Yingluck had not given appropriate reasons for the NSC chief’s removal. The case was filed by a group of senators led by appointed senator Paiboon Nititawan, who insisted the premier gave the green light for the transfer to benefit her own political party. After Ms. Yingluck was dismissed, a deputy prime minister from the Pheu Thai Party would be replacing her role as caretaker prime minister. Two deputy Prime Ministers who did not attend the cabinet meeting at the center of the trial are Niwatthamrong Boonsongpaisal and Pongthep Thepkanchana.-- NNT 2014-05-07

Piichai
At my house north of Bangkok (near a Red village no less), the Reds have lost a lot of influence. Best thing we can do at this point is to embrace them, and include them as part of the reform solution. Agreed, at least as far as the rank and file goes anyway. Best to marginalize the hard liners. There was a large prisoner transfer (3 trucks full) from Prachin Buri to Bangkok yesterday. Locals say they were accused of aiding friends of Koh Tee escape to Cambodia. The hard liners are working hard to marginalize themselves. Things really do seem to be changing. Edited May 7, 2014 by Piichai

The removal of the others involved will go a long way to cleanse this party of parasites who have operated in their posts for favor and profit as individuals with total disregard to their responsibilities to the Thai nation.
