Nigeria scorns Boko Haram's captive girls swap offer

LAGOS: -- Nigeria has insisted it will not agree to a request to free imprisoned Islamic militants in return for the release of dozens of kidnapped schoolgirls.

Interior Minister Abba Moro said Boko Haram, the group holding the girls, was in no moral position to make the offer.

However, the information ministry had earlier said all options were on the table, after the group released a video of the girls and suggested a swap.

Boko Haram snatched more than 200 girls from a school on 14 April.

About 50 children escaped, and it is not known how many are still being held.

What a horrid man their leader is. They are doing more damage to the image of Muslims, particularly forcing the girls to convert to Islam - effectively enslaving them to their thinking. If the rest of the Muslim world truly are peaceful, non extremists, tolerant of others' religions and beliefs, maybe they will offer to send troops in from their own countries, e.g. Pakistan, Indonesia, Afganistan...to take Boko Haram out and show the rest of the non Muslim world that they have nothing to fear in this regard in the future??? Yeah, right!!

This is the last straw for me. A pack of barbarians kidnap 200 terrified schoolgirls, all in the name of their savage and perverted god.

Making a politically correct statement would simply classify me as an insincere liar, so I'll speak from the core of my heart instead: I am fed up with Islam's unwillingness to co-exist respectfully and peacefully with the rest of humanity, fed up with the trouble and suffering Islam inflicts on us. I've yet to hear of any Islamic country or international group publicly condemn the actions of extremists Islamic groups like the Taliban or Boko Haram. Maybe ... hopefully ... it's happened, but if so it's a very weak voice.
