faxing from the mobile or email-to-fax

Featured Replies

Hi

I might need to fax to overseas numbers, and do not have a landline in the condo, nor do I want to rely on fax machines in internet cafes and alike.

1. Is it possible to fax from the mobile phone (I have an AIS sim)?.

2. Any suggestions on a reliable email-to-fax service, namely, where I email the document to some email address and it is then faxed to the overseas number. The service doesnt have to be Thai.

Cheers

There are quite a lot of these online fax services on the net. Many involve monthly packages but I have seen some that do one-off pricing. The cost varies hugely according to where you want to fax to, with the USA being cheapest.

tnx, but I was hoping to get recommendations for specific providers based on first hand experience members might have

I have used j2.com years ago. J2 has been around since the 1990s, & they are not the cheapest. In addition to email-to-fax, they provide fax-to-email & voicemail-to-email. For extra fees, you can pick your own dedicated fax/voicemail number from a list of countries.

I have used iFax (from an iPad) when all I have had is a Wifi connection (iFax was free but requires an iPhone or iPad) - I'm not sure if there is an android or PC version of the same. But there will be something similar.

For whatever reasons Banks would not accept an e-mail and insisted on a Fax.

I Printed a Word Document (with an embedded jpeg signature) to PDF and Faxed that through to the Bank which they accepted as a fax.

If I remember correctly I was able to set it up and pay for the minimum option of 5 faxes (within a year).

The charge was taken from my iTunes account - it was about £1

It worked....
