Spam websites

Featured Replies

Does anyone of sites that accept emails without registration and start bombarding them with spam and junk mail?

The reason why I am soliciting such sites is that I have decided to return the favour to all those emails adresses that crowd my inbox without being invited.

So every time a spam mail comes I will refer the sender to spam sites and hope they enjoy being at the receiving end as much as the sending end!

Only one tragic flaw in your plan.

The received-from emails are either fake or forged.

The person (or bot) sending them never intends for anyone (or any bot) to reply, the intention in sending is for someone (or some bot) to act on the content.

Resistance is fruitless.

By replying to SPAM you will probably make the situation worse, since, by replying, you confirm that your own Email Address is valid - i.e. still available to receive Emails, which makes it a target for even more SPAM.

Just trash the Email and don't reply; I know it's a huge temptation to get revenge sometimes but as I say - don't do it!

Your email service doesn't filter out spam email automatically?

I've been using google mail since it began ...don't remember the last spam message. I have to open the filter folder every once in a while to check for misdirected email ... even when I find something that's been misdirected to the spam folder I agree with the Heuristics, the email was very spam-like.

Sad but true!

Unfortunately Patrick is quite right.

The Gmail spam filter works perfectly for me but Hotmail doesn't do such a good job. In fact I have to check my Junk folder everyday as emails from regular senders often get diverted there.

Such is life.

What's annoying is that it's so easy to spot but ISPs and governments seem to have no will to do anything about it.
