Hello, I lost my keys to my motorcycle which is parked on a semi-busy street. I feel like an idiot for sure. Is there somebody who could make a new one?

thanks!

You need to find a lock smith or have your gf ask at local bike repair shop closet to where your bike is parked.

or you could pick start it if you know how.. but i don't think you know how to do that ;)

Don't forget the ET in the garden in Surin thread.

That reminds me time to hit the bulls@it bar for a cold Leo.

It just so happens that I live on a semi-busy street. Unfortunately there is no one that can make keys on the semi-busy street.

Looks like the only option available is to buy a new motorcycle,

One can but presume you are over 21 thus you have the keys to the door sadly though not your motor bike.cheesy.gif

Now life would be bad if you lost the keys to this though.

I feel guilty because my first response was a bit cheeky. Let me make an effort to actually be logical and helpful.

First things first. Given that you are a brand new member here do you thing that ThaiVisa is about Taiwan or Thailand?

If anyone sees a sweaty bloke stumbling through semi-busy streets in Bangkok rummaging frantically in his pockets, don't be alarmed, it's not some perve, it'll just be Jeremy on his way home to find a fresh way to thrill us all again on the morrow.

I hope Jeremey is ok, he hasn't posted an update for over an hour.

Maybe he's locked himself inside the toilet and can't get out.

Waiting for the next instalment: ' Darn it, got home & realised my house keys were on the same ring'

It does amaze me how many people post garbage because they are in a foreign country. If you lost your keys for your Honda in the US or Europe where would you go? Honda maybe? Besides that if he has only one key it is probably a rented bike and he doesn't want to pay whatever they charge for losing the keys. There is a motorcycle forum BTW.

1st option) Go back to the rental place, they usually have spare keys

2nd option) Ask any motorbike taxis in the area, they can give you the number of a locksmith. Signs are posted all over the place but they are written in Thai.

He will come around and pick the lock with a dummy key, takes about 20 minutes and he will then prepare a new set of keys for you. Should cost about 300 baht all-in. The lock doesn't have to be changed for that.

Why this guy only gets unhelpful answers from you I don't know. I also don't have any spare keys cause I am also to lazy to get them done.

When I lost the keys to my car I went to a locksmith and he came on his bike and withing 10 minutes he gave me a new key - amazing.

The only way he would have been able to do that is if he had a master key for your make and model. If you lose your car you know what to do!

I just did?

No you didn't, if you were really helpful, you would have PM'ed the OP, offered to pick him up and take him to a local locksmith...

Some real insightful answers here from some great intellect. Already deleted some posts & will sift through others. Glad school is open tomorrow you wouldn't know what to do without your kindergarten classes.

Followed by a slap up meal at MKs.

Of course he doesn't have a master key. Why do you think he needs to fiddle with some needles or something for 10-20 minutes?
